Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cancellation policy?
Your session time is reserved specifically for you. When a session is cancelled late or missed, it is time that cannot be offered to another client who may be waiting for an appointment.
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without incurring a fee.
What is the difference between counselling & psychotherapy?
While counseling often addresses current circumstances, psychoanalytic work explores the deeper roots of our experiences. Rather than choosing one path, we will work along a spectrum that connects the two. This allows us the flexibility to provide practical support for the here and now while also creating space for deeper insight whenever you feel ready to explore further.
How do I know if this will benefit me?
The primary benefit of psychoanalysis is that it goes beyond simply managing symptoms, it aims to resolve their underlying causes. While some therapy focuses on immediate, surface level issues, our work exists on a broader spectrum. We have the flexibility to provide practical support for today’s challenges while also doing the deeper work necessary for lasting change.
"Psychoanalysis offers a path to lasting change, but it requires a commitment to the process even when it feels difficult. There may be weeks when you don’t feel like attending, yet showing up in those moments is exactly how we work through the patterns that hold you back. While this level of self honesty can be intense, the reward is a shift from simply 'coping' with life to truly living it. By facing the hard work now, you are clearing the way for a future defined by clarity and emotional resilience.
